Compact DEUTZ high-torque engines TCD 2.9 and TCD 3.6 series
DEUTZ AG presents compact TCD 2.9 and TCD 3.6 engines with high torque and performance values under 56 kW. Modified versions of the TCD 2.9 and TCD 3.6 series are successfully applied for mobile machines that require the maximum performance, for example, wheel loaders and forklifts.
The DEUTZ high torque varieties reach a torque that is normally only achieved by larger engines in higher classes, which is an advantage for several reasons. Engines with a power of up to 56 kW correspond to the emission classes EU Stage IV and Stage V and do not require a SCR system. Correspondingly, no urea tanks or lines need to be installed, and the engines do not require any additives for operation. This allows the manufacturer to reduce cost, complexity and installation space, provided that the relevant performance threshold is not exceeded. The end user receives a high-performance engine that requires minimal maintenance costs.
