DEUTZ AG is the first engine manufacturer in the world which received a certificate for the EU Stage V emission directive for mobile machinery which will apply from 2019.
The certificate was given for TTCD 6.1 engine. This result is possible thanks to the installation of a diesel particulate filter (DPF).
On September 6, TCD 3.6 engine (industrial variant) was certified, which previously complied with Euro-4 standard. The four-cylinder linear water-cooled engine is equipped with a modern diesel particulate filter and generates a power of 100 kW at an engine speed of 2,300 rpm.
On September 8, TCD 4.1 engine (agricultural variant) was also recognized as corresponding to the 5th emission level, thanks to the built-in DVERT® selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and particulate filter. The four-cylinder DEUTZ engine generates a maximum power of 120 kW at a speed of 2100 rpm.
Receiving the first EU Stage V emission standard certificate, DEUTZ positions itself as a manufacturer of environmentally friendly and safe engines.
